Rules

Eligibility

  • Open to participants ages 12 to 17, from any country
  • You may enter solo or as a group of up to 3 — all group members must meet the age requirement
  • A parent or guardian must be aware of and approve the submission
  • No entry fee
  • Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of BASK and its judges are not eligible

Intellectual Property

  • Participants retain full ownership of their submitted business ideas and video content
  • By submitting, participants grant BASK a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to share, display, and promote their submission for purposes related to BASK Pitch, including on BASK's website and social media channels
  • Every submission is posted publicly to BASK's Instagram and Facebook — submitting constitutes consent to this from the participant and their parent or guardian
  • Submitted ideas must be the original work of the participant — not AI-generated concepts without meaningful original input

Judging & Prizes

  • Submissions are evaluated by a panel of judges selected by BASK on 100 points total across five criteria: The Problem, The Solution, Business Thinking, Passion & Authenticity, and Clarity & Communication
  • Scores from all judges are averaged independently
  • The top 3 submissions each month are selected as winners — all judging decisions are final
  • 1st Place: $300 · 2nd Place: $200 · 3rd Place: $100
  • Prize money is sent to the winner's parent or guardian within 14 days of announcement — BASK does not disburse funds directly to minors
  • BASK reserves the right to award fewer prizes if an insufficient number of qualifying submissions are received in a given month

Disqualification

  • BASK reserves the right to disqualify any submission at its sole discretion
  • Grounds for immediate disqualification include: edited video, video outside the 90-second to 3-minute window, adult coaching visible or audible on camera, missing handwritten sign, or blank written submission questions

Privacy

  • BASK will not publicly share the personal contact information of any participant
  • Video submissions may be shared publicly as part of competition promotion — submitting constitutes consent to this use

General

 

  • BASK reserves the right to modify these rules or alter prize structures at any time with reasonable notice
  • Participation constitutes acceptance of these rules in full
